THE AUTHOR
Mr.
Ziya N. Sever received his B.A. and M.A. from the University
of Tulsa and has done post-graduate work at the University of
Houston at Clear Lake. He has held several teaching positions,
including instructor of art at Texas College in Tyler Texas,
and Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas, and Chairman
of the"Art Department of Thomas Nelson Community College
in Hampton, Virginia. He is presently Chairman of the Art Department
at Alvin Community College in Alvin Texas. Ziya has won numerous
national art awards, including Honorable Mention—DRAWING—Brockton
Art Association 7th National Exhibition, Brockton, mass.; Gold
medal of Honor—WATERCOLOR—National exhibition, Low
Ruins Gallery, Tubec Arizona; Honorable mention—OIL—10th
