THE TOTAL
DRILL TEAM DIMENSION

During our combined twenty-five years of drill team involvement,
we have taught many courses for drill team leaders, adults and
students, at summer camps, workshops, University of Idaho at Moscow
and Ricks College at Rexburg, Idaho. Throughout these courses,
leaders have always been eager to receive any materials and information
we have given them because the available resources have been so
limited.
Many leaders
have been given their drill team position as an extracurricular
activity assignment for which they have no expertise. Other adult
leaders have assumed their role because no one else wanted it.
Others have developed their method of leading simply through trial
and error. And student leaders, new to their responsibilities,
have stumbled along, much wiser at the end of their year of office.
We, the authors,
have recognized the great needs of all such leaders to have a
detailed, knowledgeable source to help lead them. The Total Drill
Team Dimension is this source. We sincerely hope that this textbook
will offer purpose, direction, organization and inspiration to
all drill team leaders, adults and students.
