the Author
Dr.
Donald F. Staffo is a professor and chairman of the Department
of Health and Physical Education at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa,
Alabama. In addition to being an educator for 36 years, he has
been a coach, referere and sports journalist, wirting for Basketball
Times for three years and covering University of Alabama basketball
for the Associated Press for 19 years. He earned his B.S.
in physical education from the State University of New York at
Brockport, M.A. from Western Kentucky University and his Ph.D.
from Ohio State University. He is the author of six books, 112
publicaltions in professional journals, a weekly newspaper column
and over 1350 articles in newstand magazines.
